- Day 1 Santa Trindade – Pico Papagaio – Santa Trindade
The Pico Papagaio is an emblematic peak of Príncipe Island. Visible from the capital, its altitude is approximately 700 meters and has volcanic origins. Surrounded by secondary and primary forest, it is located inside the Príncipe Natural Park. Along the trail to the summit, many birds, monkeys, orquids, and medicinal plants can be observed. Views of the island are spectacular! Alternate trail to S. Carlos de Fundão also available. Some steep ways facilitated by climbing ropes.
