For those of us who enjoy leisure activities in natural context, the park provide excelent possibilities.

Special plants // The vegetation in Sao Tome and Principe islands is special: since the islands has never been connected to the African mainland, its flora shows a high level of endemism: e.g. the Sao Tome giant begonia (up to 3 metres high), several orchids and tree ferns.   
Fantastic Bird Life // Sao Tome is also an ornithologist's paradise: 143 species are known for the archipelago. With a high degree of endemism, several rare endemic species can be observed even supposedly "lost" species of birds have been identified: the dwarf olive ibis, the Sao Tome discal shrike, the Sao Tome short-tail and Sao Tome grosbeak. read more...>>
Marine turtles // Sea turtles have been coming to the beaches of Sao Tome and Principe for milions of years and the islands have the most diverse range of sea turtles in central africa. On the south edge of the Sao Tome Island you will find Jalé beach, where giant sea turtles climb up in the morning hours to lay their eggs in the sand. It is possible to stay the night on the beach in small huts without electricity.

Malanza Mangrove // On extreme south of Sao Tome and protected by the Obo National Park, the Malanza River Mangrove is the islands largest mangrove area filled with peculiar biodiversity. Monkeys and numerous endemic birds species attend this place of peace and tranquility. 
Bom Sucesso Botanical Garden // This botanical garden is unic of it type in all country, here is possible to see more than 100 different orchids from boths Sao Tome and Principe islands. These flowers were initially picked for phonological studies and are now popular tourist attractions.
